Smokers

All our rooms are non-smoking. You are free to smoke on the terraces, furnished with tables, chairs and sofas, next to the bedrooms.

Pet animals

Your four-legged friends are welcome, all we ask is that you ket us know that you will be travelling with a pet at the time of booking, so that we can assign you the most appropriate room.

How does the shuttle service work?
Our shuttle service is available, free of charge, from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening, for both arrival and departure. Let us know what time your hydrofoil or ferry is scheduled to arrive and we will come and collect you from the port. Please note: it is not a taxi service! Occasionally, guests all arrive at the same time, in which case you may have to wait a little while at the port.
Which are the nearest beaches?
The closest bathing areas and beach clubs are the Grotta Azzurra and Faro, both of which are a mere 10 minute bus ride away. It's worth noting that these are not so much beaches as rocky terraces from where you can dive into the water. Capri has just two traditional (pebble) beaches, in Marina Piccola and Marina Grande, and about a 30 minute bus ride away.
Do you have family rooms?
Yes, we have triple and quadruple rooms
Do you have rooms for the disabled?
We have one room with a bathroom for the disabled. Access to the hotel and the various terraces may prove difficult, due to the steps.
Is the pool always open?
No, the pool is open from April 15th to October 15th and always closed at night.
Do you have WiFi connectivity?
Yes, there is internet connectivity available in all communal areas, including the terraces, and in some bedrooms. In a number of rooms the signal is very weak. There is an internet point, with more than one computer, in the reception area.
Will I have to pay to use a sun lounger by the pool ?
No, use of sun loungers and umbrellas is free and we'll provide you with beach towels too
How do I get to the center of Capri from Il Girasole?
The main bus stop, from where you can catch buses to the center of Capri and Marina Grande is just 300 meters away from the hotel. Buses take 15 minutes to reach Capri and stop close to the Piazzetta. Buses run frequently (at least every 15 minutes), from first thing in the morning until late at night.
Can I get to the hotel by car?
The circulation of non-resident cars and motorbikes is prohibited from early April until November. This said, we do have a private car park, 100 meters away from the hotel (a fee applies). If you require a parking place, please let us know in advance.
Will the taxi be able to drop me off right outside the hotel entrance?
Your taxi driver will have to drop you off about 50 meters from the hotel entrance. Our shuttle will be able to drive you right up to the door.
